Bridge Works

The temporary Bailey Bridge is now in operation, along with the one-way tarffic system. Work is progressing and some of the utilities are now in place.

Alnwick Citizens Advice
[updated 5th July]
Mr Paul Robinson is the new case worker for the Over 60's at the Alnwick Citizens Advice Bureau and he is currently promoting a service that the CAB offer the Over 60's eg helping with their benefit entitlement and assisting with claims. They also assist with any other welfare benefit matters that they may have with their existing claims. Click HERE for a short newsletter on the subject

Bus Services

Rothbury is now served by an hourly bus service provided by ARRIVA from Morpeth and in turn these are easily accessed from further afield eg Newcastle. This gives visitors to the North-East an excellent opportunity for a day trip into the countryside for walks, or a pleasant picnic down by the riverside and play area in Rothbury. Armstrong Trail

The Armstrong Bi-centennial celebrations were some what curtailed last year due to the severe weather. However the 'Armstrong Trail' leaflet, which was part of the village celebrations, is now available in various village outlets eg Hotels. If you would care to preview the leaflet, please click HERE.

These take place on Tuesdays from 1.0pm until 2.30pm in the Armstrong Hall, Thropton OR
